Coaches Wish List: Mr. Meyer not in attendance.
Trophy Cases: Mr. Meyer not in attendance.
Confirmed the following Chairperson assignments:

Volleyball Kim Lund
Soccer Cindy Guttendorf

Anne verified to the chairpersons that supplies will be stocked. Chairpersons are not responsible for buying candy, etc.
Orders & Donations Updates: The hot dogs have been ordered and candy and miscellaneous items will be purchased before games begin. The water has not been delivered yet. Stacy will check on the water. Mike Mansfield is getting more popcorn bags. Someone needs to pick up the napkins from Prospect Bank.
Sports Ads: The current total is $4,100. That total is up from $2,900 last year. There are still a couple of outstanding ads that have not paid yet. Gibson Community Hospital was given a complimentary ½ page ad because they are donating $100 per touchdown. They will donate $100 to the booster club for every touchdown scored, home or away, during an IW Varsity football game.
Scoreboard: Heritage FS is our final scoreboard sponsor. Their passes have been distributed.
NEW BUSINESS
Registration: The volunteers who worked at registration were thanked for their time. Sixty-five passes were sold. Apparel sold totaled $1,436. The tie-dye shirts almost completely sold out. Discussion determined we may have to purchase more before apparel is sold at Family Ready Night at the elementary school in November.
Sponsor Decals: Anne priced several options. Matt Clark moved to order window cling 4 x 4 decals from Iroquois Print for the number of businesses who purchased ads. Discussion among members agreed that it is important to have the year on the decal. Cliff seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Scrimmage: The schedule for that night was reviewed: VB at 5:30 p.m.; Golf at 6:15 p.m.; Soccer at 6:40 p.m.; Football at 7:05 p.m.; Band at 7:10 p.m. Chairpersons will try to assign volunteers for their respective schedules. Not many volunteers signed up at registration.
IW Booster Water: There was discussion about whether or not to increase the price of a bottle of water sold at the concession stand. Should water be $1.25 per bottle instead of $1? Members felt that it is important to keep our concessions affordable. Different ideas were offered and discussed on numerous concession items. Cliff moved to keep the price for a bottle of water at $1 per bottled and Kim seconded. Motion carried. It was agreed that an evaluation of the margins would be done next year and any price changes would be determined before the beginning of the next school year.
Ads: Anne will place ads in the Gilman and Onarga newspapers for pork chop sales.
Homecoming: Homecoming is September 14. The parade will be Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Cliff offered his golf cart to be used for the Booster Club and we can use the magnetic signs. Volunteers will be assigned at the September meeting. (NOTE: The booster meeting will be September 5 to avoid any conflict with homecoming festivities the following week.) Anne will purchase the candy.
ROUND TABLE:
IWHS Principal Mr. Brian Dukes introduced himself to the booster club. He talked about how he has also been a coach in the past and how athletics are important to him. Booster club members introduced themselves as well. Anne thanked him for coming and encouraged him to attend future meetings.
The topic of re-ordering additional apparel in youth sizes came up again. Members agreed to re-evaluate the needs at a later meeting.
PTT is doing goody baskets for new teachers as they have done in the past. The booster club will continue to donate items to participate in these baskets.
Anne has been working diligently on the web page. The letter sent to all middle school parents telling them about the booster club will include the link. We will also request a link be put on the district web page as well as the middle school and high school web pages. Anne will do further research about the cost. She believes the price may only be about $26 a year. If that is the case, members agreed for Anne to proceed, to get it done.
Mike moved to adjourn.
Next Meeting: September 5, 2012 7:00pm at Pizza Palace
