IW BOOSTER CLUB MINUTES – June 11, 2014 Meeting
Members present included Anne Carney, Mike Carney, Melody Clark, Jill Cultra, Stacy Connor, Cathy Crego, Kim Lund, Coach Arie, and Coach Waz.
GUEST:
AD SALES UPDATE: Coach Waz asked if he could give his update first as he had students lifting in the gym and needed to return to them. He stated the football team has started making calls for ad sales. He’s hoping to do visits next week. He also verified that personal messages could be sold.
MINUTES: Members present reviewed the minutes from the May 2014 regular meeting. Jill moved to approve the minutes, Melody seconded, all in favor. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer’s report was presented. Mike moved to approve the report as presented; Cathy seconded, all in favor.
OLD BUSINESS
PICNIC TABLES: Melody presented the picnic table info to the school board at their last meeting. Board was pleased about adding seating at the south end of the field. Boosters agreed to do red and blue tables. Melody will inquire regarding the cost of a handicap accessible table.
APPAREL UPDATE: Order has been placed at Denny’s. Iroquois Print is working on design. We are waiting to hear back from Massey Graffix. Apparel is on target for registration. Coach Arie mentioned she has had good luck with BSN Sports.
GOLF OUTING UPDATE: Proposed budget and explanations of revenues and expenses were presented. There was a sign-up sheet passed around which showed how many volunteers are needed for the outing.

Assignments were made for the following fall jobs:

Donations Kim Lund – popcorn oil. Mike and Matt will address the other donations through ad sales.
FOOTBALL SCOREBOARD: No update.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SPIRIT CLUB: Boosters held extensive discussion regarding the middle school concessions and middle school chairperson position. Boosters would like to speak with Mr. Ehmen and Ginger to help define the position. All agreed that the goal is to have the middle school concessions run comparably to the high school concessions.
ROUND TABLE:
Austin Zirkle qualified for the high school state track meet. He was given a $25 gift card.
Comment was made that allowing personal ads in the sports program is great and appreciated by families.
Cathy Crego stated that her family will be hosting a foreign exchange student this coming school year. She is a fifteen year old from Germany.
