FUNDRAISING PLANS:

  • Young “Captains” fundraiser. Marissa is working on this fundraiser.   A suggestion was made to give the selected student a free t-shirt that signifies the event.   Details are still being worked out.   Majority agreed it will be best to do the event at a select few games, so that it creates excitement.  Pack the place, senior night, and large crowd games were mentioned as games to consider.   Marissa will share additional ideas.
  • “Bricks” fundraiser. Boosters are in favor of the “brick” fundraiser.   Boosters agreed that the fundraiser needs to be ready for Old Boys in June to reach more people in the community.    Anne will have more detail at the January meeting.
  • Joint games. Anne will reach out to Jodi Bauer to see if the Watseka Booster Club is interested in doing a joint event.  If the joint event is not possible, suggestion was given to do an alumni event.

ROUND TABLE:

Matt presented a request for the Booster Club to participate in Christmas Tree Lane.   Discussion followed regarding event requests.   No action was taken.

Matt stated that the license for the apparel trailer has expired.   At this time, the trailer will not be moved, and therefore a license is not required.   The sticker will not be renewed at this time.

Melody will have apparel at Family Reading Night.

Mr. Meyer stated that the high school is looking for a public service announcer for boys and girls basketball.   This can be an adult or student.    Cathy expressed interest for boys’ basketball.   Matt mentioned that it would be nice to have music, etc. during the games.  Anne will ask the spirit club if they will consider doing music on nights the pep band is not playing.

Boosters discussed the middle school sound system.   Matt will speak with Mr. Ehmen about it.   Mr. Meyer stated that tournament funds may be able to help with the cost as high school tournaments are held at the middle school.

Matt moved to adjourn.
