IW BOOSTER CLUB MINUTES – June 10, 2015 Meeting
Members present included Anne Carney, Melody Clark, Matt Clark, Stacy Connor, Heather Frank, Coach Jim Miller, Jill Cultra, Coach Arie, Hans Meyer and Coach Barkley.
MINUTES: May 2015 minutes were reviewed. Matt moved to approve the minutes; Melody seconded, all in favor – motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Matt presented the treasurer’s report for the month of May and the year-to-date report. Melody moved to approve, Jill seconded, all in favor – motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
GOLF OUTING CHAIR: A co-chair is still needed for the golf outing to be held July 25, 2015. Volunteer stations were discussed. Anne will send an email with which volunteer stations are still in need.

VISION FOR BOOSTER CLUB: Boosters reconfirmed their focus is to support athletes and athletic programs. When approving money to be spent, this vision must be kept in the forefront when making decisions.
Matt asked for Boosters to set up time this summer to have a membership drive and specifically invite individuals. Boosters want to get more elementary parents involved as well. There was also a suggestion for the Booster Club to speak at athletic banquets. A sign-up sheet should be available at the banquet as well as a summary of what the Booster Club has accomplished. The same should be done at the middle school and high school orientations and open houses.
REQUEST FOR BOOSTER FUNDING: Anne presented a form titled “Request for Booster Funding.” Coaches will go to Mr. Meyer, district athletic director, first and then present the request to the Booster Club. Mr. Meyer is in favor and supports this process. Mr. Meyer confirmed that he checks the sport’s activity fund balance when a request is presented.
ELECTIONS: Nominations were made for officers.
Matt moved to nominate Anne Carney for president and Stacy Connor for secretary. Melody seconded.
Matt moved to nominate Cathy Crego as treasurer. Heather seconded.
Matt moved to nominate Melody Clark as VP – Onarga; Heather Frank as VP – Gilman; Mike Carney as VP – Danforth; and Doug Miller as VP – Thawville. Stacy seconded. All in favor.
The VP – Crescent City is still open at this time. Matt will meet with Cathy to transfer everything included with being treasurer.
ROUND TABLE:
Jill gave an update on ad sales. Boosters discussed personal ads for seniors. Jill will work on that project.
Important dates: Registration – August 5th and Meet the Raider Night – August 21.
Matt moved to adjourn.
