IW BOOSTER CLUB MINUTES – March 9, 2016 Meeting
Members present included Anne Carney, Matt Clark, Melody Clark, Doug Miller, Lisa McMillan, Heather Frank and Stacy Connor.
MINUTES: February 2016 minutes were reviewed. Doug moved to approve the minutes; Melody seconded, all in favor – motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Anne presented the treasurer’s report, in Cathy’s absence, for the month of February. Heather moved to approve the treasurer’s report, Lisa seconded, all in favor – motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
BRICKS FUNDRAISER: Stacy gave an update. Orders are due by the end of March.
COACHES APPRECIATION DINNER: Dinner at 7pm; social hour at 6pm. Menu will be similar to last year. Apparel will be given as door prize drawings.
WINTER SPORTS AWARDS BANQUET: Thursday, March 10 @ 7pm. Melody will pick up the cookies; Matt will take care of drinks. Melody, Matt, Heather, Anne and Doug will be attending.
NEW BUSINESS
BASEBALL CONCESSIONS MOVE: Anne will talk to Josephine Harkins and Heather Mikelson to coordinate the date.
PLANS FOR APPAREL: As previously mentioned, some existing apparel items will be given as prizes during the coaches’ appreciation dinner. “Garage Sale” for apparel will be held at registration. Coach Arie will do apparel again this fall, may make some changes.
BOOSTER LETTER FOR REGISTRATION PACKETS: Boosters reviewed the letter. Letters will go out in high school and middle school registration packets.
INVOICE FROM PORTRAIT PLACE: Invoice noted that forty percent of printing costs were donated. Boosters discussed programs and senior banners.
ROUND TABLE:
Dalton Reed presented a Thank You card for the gift cards wrestlers received when they went to state.
Discussions held regarding the plan for equipment for the weight room.
Anne received quotes for a tent with sides and a tent without sides. More information will be brought to the next meeting.
Concessions for girls’ softball were discussed. Boosters will have to pass on concessions for girls’ softball due to no chairperson. Matt Clark will speak with Onarga Park District.
Discussions held regarding the cost of awards for the athletic banquets.
Melody moved to adjourn.
