    • flooring- Ben will be looking to complete the task in August

  • Splitting duties for Fall- Class sponsors will be taking on organizing concession stands
    • Pocket calendars-Prospect Bank– Trixie is going to touch base with Brenda
    • Ordering Product for concession stands: Julie taking on outdoor concessions; Marisa taking on indoor concessions and Trixie and Julie Reed together on the Middle school concessions
    • Meet the Raiders-Julie A. talking with pork producers to do sandwiches and grilling sandwiches for the football games. 
    • Assign people to call each town’s fire departments to serve at football games-Marisa is going to call them.

  • Ad ‘s for fall- Trixie has volunteered to send out letters to businesses.  She will then take players to business to collect money.

  •     Vidswap- Similar to HUDL where coaches can upload film after game, can be used for training options.  We voted to approve the purchase of Vidswap 
  • Concrete for outside stand- Ben Cox will to be notified to complete the job.   
  • Arrows made from Craig- Julie A. had it approved by the City of Gilman to paint on the road leading to the school.  It was discussed to use a fundraiser for the football team.

Lisa McMillan motioned to approve the minutes– Julie Ahlden seconded; all in favor-motion carried..  

Treasurer’s Report was presented- Jenny Leonard motioned to approve; Lisa Thiele seconded it; all in favor-motion carried.

  • T-shirt contest; old backbone Raider t-shirt:  Looking into after spring break for the tailend of this school year and making the shirts for the fall-tabled until next meeting

  • Outside IW signs-signage is looking rough; may need to talk with school to help with getting those updated.
  • Quotes on concession floors-Cox Decorative Concrete $1800 quoted for the floor (296 sq ft)–includes labor/material/equipment (Booster will have to remove all contents; will take approximately 3 hours to dry.  Waiting to get 1 more quote before moving forward. 
  • Baseball concessions-music department does not want to do it.  A few emails have been sent to see if there is any interest; Will revisit next meeting.
  • Sports Banquet-the school has been doing this for individual sports this year since there has not been the opportunity for banquets.
  • Coaches Dinner-June 18th is booked.  Invites being sent via email soon.

It was mentioned getting IW painted in town that leads to the school.  Julie is going to make some calls to look into getting that project in motion.

    • Soccer/football and JV football concessions-  Booster club will take care of working the concession stand.  Heather is going to reach out to pork producers for pork burgers only this year.

IW Booster Minutes- February 24, 2021

MINUTES: January minutes were reviewed. Lisa McMillan moved to approve; Julie Ahlden seconded; All in favor- motion carried

TREASURER’S REPORT: – Treasurer’s report presented. Julie Ahlden moved to approve; Lisa Thiele seconded; All in favor- motion carried

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Livestream capabilities- working well; some glitches every once in awhile

GUESTS: none

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Raider Rowdie t-shirts- side line cheerleaders for games; Julie Ahlden moved to make a motion to pay for t shirts; Lisa Thiele seconded; motion carried
  • Outdoor concessions
    • Football and soccer- may potentially have concessions; will need to wait and see if guidelines are changed.  Will need to look discuss this 
      • Senior Night to be first game of the season
      • Soccer starts March 9th– no concessions first week
      • Football to be discussed next meeting
    • Volleyball- no concessions as of now
    • Baseball and softball- Starts of April 23rd will need to discuss at next meeting
    • Booster club or classes OR split- to be discussed at next meeting
  • Hometown Hero Scholarship- Enough funds from last year to have a scholarship for two years; Lisa presented to get applications; Dane Thorne last year’s winning; Only had one applicant; will move to open it to be more broad “Hero”. Will be a $300 scholarship.

IROQUOIS WEST BOOSTER CLUB

January 28, 2021

  • November 2020 Minutes
  • Treasurer’s Report- 

Julie Ahlden moved to approve the minutes and treasurers reports; Cecilia Lopez seconded.  All in favor-motion carried. 

Old Business

  • Apparel Sales–Sales have done well this year.  May do more apparel depending on how things go. 
  • Concession stands-no concession stands planned at this time; Booster club will donate water for all current sports (Middle School and High School).
  • Cutouts of people at games-This idea is being passed on at this time.  
  • Livestream capabilities $10.99/month or $69.99/year; information will be pushed out when things are up and running.

New Business

  • Hudl Sports vs. Vidswap- Coach Arie shared updates; Hudl prices went up.  Vidswap has been looked into. Approximately $4300 for all stats for all sports.  This will be revisited after there is more information.
  • Hall of Fame- Coach Arie presented the idea of that IW potentially set up a Hall of Fame.  
  • Senior Night Activities-No updates at this time.  Kristy is going to look ta scheduling first to see what dates will work out.

  • May want to start thinking about advertising for 2021 and how we want to go about it or if we want to approach it differently.
